Nick Carter

Why he’s a heartthrob: You might remember Nick from a little ol’ band called Backstreet Boys. There was a moment in the late ’90s when you couldn’t walk around the block without seeing his face (or one of his bandmates) or hear one of their earworms songs.

Carter has been trying to reclaim the success of those BSB years, but hasn’t quite landed the kind of gigs to make it so. He’s released a couple of solo albums, but nothing that could compare to those three albums he did with the band.

What he’s doing now: After trying his hand at acting and reality shows, he reunited with his band for a residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. He and the other members of the band had a residency, Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life.

Nick at his best: It’s hard to top those frosted tips and baggy pants of the late ’90s, but y’all know I’m a sucker for a reality show. He’s starred in two: House of Carters and I (Heart) Nick Carter. Also, look for his appearance on Jimmy Fallon in which he arm-wrestled Justin Timberlake … and won.
