If you have somehow been living under a rock for the last four decades, Grease is about a group of high school students returning to school after the summer. New student Sandy, from Australia, befriends Frenchy and recounts her steamy summer love affair to her and the other Pink Ladies. She fell for a handsome boy named Danny, but she was supposed to go back to Australia at the end of the summer.

When she ends up staying in California for school, she hopes she’ll see Danny again — and she does, but he’s not the boy she remembered. With Sandy on the beach, he was a gentleman, but at school with his greaser friends, he’s a real jerk. While this is happening, bad girl Rizzo starts fooling around with Danny’s pal Kenickie and has a pregnancy scare, and Frenchy decides to drop out of high school to go to beauty school… and then drops out.

If you like a good musical, lock yourself away one summer night and enjoy the classic songs like “Greased Lightnin” and “Hopelessly Devoted To You” while singing them at the top of your lungs all by yourself. That’s the best way to enjoy a musical, isn’t it?
