They may be terrible, but these are 15 TV characters we love to hate

Cole Turner – Charmed
What’s his deal: Possibly the devil incarnate, Cole Turner is the love interest and possible undoing of middle Halliwell sister Phoebe. Cleverly nicknamed The Source, Cole comes to destroy the Charmed ones, but winds up falling in love with Alyssa Milano’s Phoebe.
He does a lot of really bad stuff. He turns Phoebe evil, impregnating her with a demon baby. He also makes a deal with a powerful demon who eventually winds up wreaking havoc on the sisters, and continually lies to Phoebe and the other witches about his true intentions.
Why we love him anyway: This is a polarizing opinion, but I believe Cole really loves Phoebe, and he is constantly struggling to reconcile that love with his true nature. Sure, he was born Belthazor, half demon, but his feelings for Phoebe keep him in touch with his humanity.
Throughout his entire run on the show, he wrestles with the pull of both his good and evil instincts, and sometimes he does the right thing, while other times he doesn’t. Most of the time, his intentions are good, and that’s why you have to love him. He wanted to do the right things — mostly.
Where to find him: With a Charmed reboot on the horizon, there’s lots of buzz about the witch drama. If you want to get prepped on all things Halliwell, you can watch the original on Netflix anytime. There are eight seasons, so you better get started.
