C.B. Strike Season 2 begins tonight. The two-part season is the adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s “The Silkworm.” This was the second novel in the Cormoran Strike series under Rowling’s pen name Robert Galbraith. We get to see Strike after the success of his case to find out who murdered Lula Landry and make it look like a suicide.

The case is all about Owen Quine, an infamous author who has disappeared. Owen’s wife, Leonaora wants Strike’s help, knowing that if anyone can help her he will be able to. It doesn’t take long to learn that Owen hasn’t just gone missing. He’s been murdered and Strike has to figure out who did it and why. When his latest novel’s storyline comes out, he soon learns that the murderer could be someone closer to the author and the family. Will it be his wife or someone else?

Meanwhile, Robin will have to deal with her own personal issues. Matthew isn’t happy that she opted for the job with Strike and makes it extremely clear that Strike isn’t invited to the wedding. This instantly puts pressure on Robin to leave the job and Strike isn’t willing to get in the middle of a marriage. However, Robin is set on remaining part of the firm, because she loves the work that she does with Strike. It’s money vs. job satisfaction and right now the job satisfaction is winning out.
