23. Claire running around in heels

Claire and her choice of shoes got quite a lot of heat after Jurassic World hit theaters. Mainly because this series has always been well aware of how women would react in a situation such as this and it has always been, seemingly, feminist positive.

So when Claire shows up in heels running through the desert, people weren’t exactly happy about it. But if you take a step back and look at it in a different light, it is actually kind of awesome that she does everything she achieves in a pair of heels.

First of all, she’s a businesswoman. The movie starts with the park already up and running with lots of guests there. So she has to be professional, and, to Claire, that means a pencil skirt and some heels.

Granted, maybe she should have had a pair of boots in a car or something but still, she worked with what she had at that moment and put all her effort into saving her nephews. While people criticized her shoes, instead we should see them as a statement. Not all women are going to run around in combat boots. Claire, as it seems, will do it all in heels.
