Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger season 1 episode 4 preview: Call/Response

At long last, Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger bring our two heroes face-to-face for more than just a happenstance meeting. Here’s what’s at play this week.

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger ended last week’s episode with Tyrone showing up unexpectedly in the church where Tandy lives. And that was an unexpected and exciting cliffhanger.

Because our two main characters finally get to meet! They get to figure out their powers! Find out what it’s all about! Realize their intertwined history!

It’s going to be so much fun.

Here is the official synopsis for this week’s episode, courtesy of Freeform:

"Tandy and Tyrone come face-to-face as the two are able to sit down and talk. Having not been able to tell anyone else what they have been experiencing, both take the opportunity to finally confide in the one person who may truly understand what they are going through. Meanwhile, Otis reveals a secret side of himself and Greg seems to be onto something with Melissa’s case against Roxxon."

Firstly, in case you are just as confused as I was upon reading this, Greg is Tandy’s mom’s lawyer boyfriend. Otis is Tyrone’s dad. Have we heard their names mentioned before? Possibly Tandy’s mom, but we’re pretty sure we haven’t heard Otis’ before.

It would be a nice change of pace if a mom’s loser boyfriend actually ends up being worthwhile for once. Rather than following the standard trope of being useless, maybe bring something to the table? This makes it sound like he might be onto the cover-up.

All of that said, the big bad will be revealed sooner rather than later. Right now, I’m just excited the show will finally have Tyrone and Tandy partnered up. Or at least trying to figure things out.

Because it’s still entirely possible that one of them will run away from the other before the episode is out. My bet is on Tandy.
