Sarah Paulson (Deadwood, 12 Years a Slave) plays Tammy, a suburban mom who sells stolen goods, and also an old friend of Debbie. Her character’s strength is “fencing,” which is being a middlewoman between whoever stole the goods, and the buyer. She receives and moves these items, which we see first-hand in Ocean’s 8. Tammy is the more steady and methodical of the crew. She even scores a gig as a coordinator at Vogue (jealous!), which gives her access to the seating chart.

When everything goes down at the Met Gala, and the Cartier necklace is discovered missing, Tammy is the one who “finds” the replica in the fountain. All goes back to normal, and the head is off — for now.

I typically really enjoy Sarah Paulson’s red carpet choices, and the neon Prada number that she wore for the Ocean’s 8 premiere was one of my favorites of the press tour and even movie.

Speaking of looks from the movie, Tammy’s black gown was pretty basic in the grand scheme of the Met Gala, much like her perceived persona as “just a suburban mom.” But basic can also mean classic.
