7. The Eric Andre Show

What it is: A satirical talk show in which Eric Andre “interviews” unwitting celebrities and tries to shock them with his extremely outrageous antics and pranks. In the beginning seasons, guests seemed like they weren’t in on the joke, but as more and more episodes aired, the celebrities became part of the weird, Andy Kaufman-esque ambushes.

The yuck factor: This show will push the boundaries of what you are comfortable watching on television. Andre is so antagonistic and confrontational that it can quickly tip over from funny to mean.

He’s known for making his studio smell really bad or making guests inadvertently watch porn, and he is totally unpredictable when they sit down in front of him. He made Lauren Conrad watch him eat fake throw up and has embarrassed and verbally assaulted pretty much every person who sits on his couch.

It really depends on what your brand of humor this is. You must have a flexible sense of second-hand embarrassment and an iron stomach to enjoy this very postmodern version of a talk show.

Where and how: The Eric Andre show airs on Adult Swim, so that pretty much sums up its target audience and demographic. You can watch the last season on the website, and seasons 1 through 4 on Hulu.
