This is why we can’t have nice things. These insane and unbelievable shows are real, we promise. Here are 15 shows that actually exist.

Television might be the best that it’s ever been, but that doesn’t mean everything has to be peak TV. In fact, there are some pretty wild and unbelievable shows. And we’ve made a list of shows that actually exist even though they sound like they don’t. Most of the shows on this list will take an extremely high threshold for second-hand embarrassment, and I can’t guarantee you won’t watch most of the clips through your fingers. Some will make you terribly sad about the state of humanity, but others will make you furious about the world we live in.

Although a good bit of shows on this list are reality shows, there are a handful with premises so outrageous you’ll think I’m making them up. We assure you, we are not. And for the other reality shows, while you think you might be desensitized to how low the genre can go, you might find something to surprise you on this list. Stay strong.

I’ve compiled 15 shows that seem so improbable that you just have to see to believe. We’ve also rated the yuck factor to reveal how long of a shower you might need to take after watching it. They range in grossness from mild to plain terrible, and we’ll let you decide if you want to watch or not. Spoiler: you probably won’t.
