The original Avengers discussed their famous tattoo in their super exclusive group chat

Jeremy Renner revealed that there is indeed a group chat with the six original Avengers. That’s where they discussed getting their matching tattoos to celebrate their friendship.

You might think that My Little Pony taught us that friendship is magic, but we’re starting to think it’s actually the Avengers who are teaching us that important lesson.

Jeremy Renner only confirmed that on Tuesday when he appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Do you remember the tattoo that Renner and some of the other Avengers got? Well, he said they got it to celebrate their friendship — because, of course, they did!

All this planning for the tattoo, mind you, went down in a group text with only the original six Avengers. That means Renner, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo all connected in one chat.

And for one moment, Jimmy Fallon channeled all our inner fans by saying: “I want to be on this! I just want to see.”

Maybe Renner wouldn’t mind pulling a Kanye and screenshotting a few of the conversations for Twitter. We’re sure as long as he asks permission, they won’t mind. But we really, really want to see what else they’d chat about.

But, Renner wanted to make clear while all in the group chat, no one could convince Mark Ruffalo to get their celebratory matching tattoos. He joked that if Ruffalo didn’t want to do it, he could totally hit up the first movie Hulk, Eric Bana, instead.

While it’s not necessarily the Avengers, Renner’s promoting his latest movie, Tag, which is out June 15. It features John Hamm, Ed Helms, and Hannibal Buress, so maybe you could think of it as a kind of comedy Avengers if you really need to see another Marvel movie already.
