Allison DuBois and her electronic cigarette create the dinner from hell – RHOBH

By now, inviting a psychic to a dinner party is a reliable Housewives trope, but it wasn’t always this way. Camille Grammar sort of invented this little setup, although our introduction to it was a little rocky.

Allison Dubois, famous psychic and inspiration for the hit show, Medium, was the guest of honor at Camille’s dinner party. But she proceeded to make it the most uncomfortable, awkward gathering the Beverly Hills squad has ever seen, all the while puffing on her ridiculous electronic cigarette.

Allison delivered some unsettling news, to everyone, but  Kyle got the worst of it. She told Kyle that her husband would “never emotionally fulfill her” and she compared the women to animals that eat their young.

Ostensibly a guest at the dinner party and “off the clock” as she put it, she seemed reluctant to offer a reading to the women at the table. Kyle mutters something about how she bets she would if she pulled out her credit card and the “morally bankrupt” Faye Resnick continues to goad Kyle on.

Finally, Allison does launch into her “reading” and it’s mostly barbs about Kyle’s marriage and how her husband is going to leave her when the kids are grown. It became increasingly awkward as the women started to draw parallels between what Allison was saying about Kyle and her husband and Camille and hers. It was a pretty well-known fact that Camille’s husband, actor Kelsey Grammar, was having an affair with a much younger woman.

Camille and Kelsey divorced shortly after this and thankfully, Allison and her electronic cigarette were never invited back.
