Camille reveals Taylor’s secret domestic abuse – RHOBH

Ooof… this was tough. As much entertainment as these ladies provide us, sometimes things can get dark. On the one hand, you have to admire their willingness to show all parts of themselves, but on the other, it’s a hard watch. Such was the case in the Taylor Armstrong era of Beverly Hills.

Fans saw Taylor’s live take a series of unfortunate turns, leading up to the suicide of her then-estranged husband. However, before his death, while they were still married, allegations of abuse began to swirl around the couple. As is the Housewives way, nothing was outright revealed on camera, until Camille Grammar decided it was time to confront Taylor with the truth.

Apparently, Taylor had confided to Camille, and several of the other ladies, off-camera, about the troubles in her marriage, including her abuse at the hands of her husband, Russell. However, when the conversation at the gathering turned heated, and Taylor demanded of Lisa Vanderpump, to “be honest,” Camille took issue with that.

Camille warned her to “be careful” about wanting everyone to be honest because they were “all protecting her.” Camille went on to allege that Russell has broken Taylor’s jaw and that he hit her on a regular basis. The most unsettling part of this all is that Russel committed suicide before this season aired, and Bravo decided to keep this scene in.

After Russell’s death, Taylor went public with the allegations about the domestic violence and went on to speak at several events about her experiences.
