Say what you will about reality television, but you can always count on the stars to entertain us, make us cringe, and shock our sensibilities. I’ve come to depend on reality TV, particularly Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise for all of these things, and then some. These are 25 of the most outrageous Housewives moments, neatly packaged all in one place.

If you’ve never indulged in the wonder and whimsy that is the Real Housewives, I suggest you do a bit of self-care immediately and watch some. There are so many cities, episodes, and feuds — there’s really something for everyone. Instead of viewing it as trash TV (which it can be at times), I suggest we consider it as a sociological study in human behavior and female politics. Looking at it in such an academic way allows us permission to appreciate the outrageous moments in a larger, more important context.

You don’t have to love them, but you can’t deny the impact the Housewives have had on the television landscape and the culture at large. No matter how bonkers they can become, they are here to feed our intense need for melodrama, beautiful people behaving drunkenly, and second-hand embarrassment.
