C.B. Strike Season 1, Episode 2 airs tonight and the case is already unraveling for our private detective. Titled “The Cuckoo’s Calling, Part 2,” Cormoran Strike will realize that the victim in his case definitely was murdered. Now he needs to figure out exactly who did it and why. Meanwhile, Robin gets a job off she probably shouldn’t refuse.
There are minor spoilers from the episode in this advanced preview. If you’ve read the novel, “The Cuckoo’s Calling,” you’ll know the plot points discussed.

It doesn’t take long for Strike to realize that Lula Landry’s case is one of murder and not suicide. Now he’ll need to get to the bottom of the real events from the night before and that means finding the one person who knew more about her than anyone else: Tansy. Of course, Tansy isn’t interested in talking to anyone, but will Cormoran find a way to get her to open up?

Meanwhile, Robin is going to get a new job offer. She gets the chance to work full-time in HR. The sensible side of her tells her to take it, but she loves the work she’s doing at the moment. This is going to set up some tension between her and her fiancé, Matthew, who wants her to get a more stable job. Being a temp for Strike, who is on the verge of losing his business, isn’t exactly stable!
