When Miranda proposes to Steve (“The Ick Factor”)

Miranda and Steve had a complicated road to happiness on Sex and the City, but they’re probably one of the best couples on the entire show. Or at least better than Big and Carrie, but that’s not hard to beat.

Miranda and Steve’s relationship began in what Miranda thought was going to be a one night stand. She met him when he was working as a bartender. The two headed back to her place to have sex, but he was smitten with Miranda, and the rest is history.

They were on and off for years, and when they started hooking up again strictly as friends, it resulted in Miranda getting pregnant. Originally, she was going to have an abortion, but in the end, she kept the baby and had a boy named Brady. The two co-parented their son, but we always knew they would end up together in the end.

On season 6, the two finally make it official. While having a drink on a patio, the two notice a bickering old couple, and they promise to never turn out like that. The two talk about how they never want to lose each other again, and out of nowhere, a smiling Miranda asks Steve, “Will you marry me?”

When Steve realizes she’s being serious, he responds in a very Steve way: “Hell yeah!” It’s not often you see a woman proposing to a man, even nowadays, but Miranda isn’t like most women. She knows what she wants, and she goes after it, and that includes the man of her dreams.
