The Chicken Dance (Season 2, Episode 7)

The only thing worse than being single, is being single and inadvertently introducing two people who end up getting married, who then want you in their wedding. If that would happen to anybody, of course, it would be Miranda.

Miranda welcomes a friend from London, Jeremy, to stay with her when he’s visiting the city. The two are usually quite flirtatious in their emails, but once he gets to the city, he only has eyes for Miranda’s friend and interior designer. Miranda throws Jeremy a farewell party before he’s set to return to London, where the new couple announces that they’re getting married, despite the fact that they just met!

Carrie is surprised when Mr. Big agrees to attend the wedding with her, but then gets disappointed when he not only refuses to sign the card with her but also leaves right in the middle of the poem she was asked to recite. Just another story in the long and complicated relationship of Big and Carrie.

As if the whole wedding wasn’t already upsetting to Miranda, she’s extra bitter when she’s asked to be in charge of the guest book at the reception. Why do they even need someone to be in charge of the guestbook? It’s pretty self-explanatory.

It seems like things are going badly for all the girls in this episode. Samantha starts questioning where her life is headed when she sleeps with a guy that she slept with years ago and forgot about. Had she slept with all the eligible men in the city already?
