Who is Robin Ellacott?
Robin starts as just a temp. She’s not entirely wanted by Cormoran, but that’s mostly due to his financial situation. However, she sticks around for a week and soon becomes the shining light that Cormoran needs. Considering she’s around for all three books that have been written so far, it’s easy to guess that something works out that keeps her in the job. Granger shares more of Robin’s character development in the three books in the C.B. Strike promo.
A pure character
We’ve seen a wide range of characters from Rowling. She’s created complex characters like Severus Snape, intriguing characters like Professor Lupin, and bumbling characters like Newt Scamander. Rowling has even given us pure evil characters and you know I’m not talking about Voldemort! A certain woman in pink comes to mind, right?

Well, for Rowling, Robin is completely different to any other character she’s written. This is a pure character, someone who sees the best in people and only wants to do right in the world. That won’t always mean the right decisions and there are certainly actions that hurt others, but she’s a woman who wants to make sure the right person goes down for murder and crimes are solved.
