Get the Look: Bateau/Boat Neck Mini Dress
We appreciate that Princess Eugenie donned a subtle look at Meghan and Harry’s wedding, as all eyes will be on her this fall when she gets married. Eugenie will be marrying Jack Brooksbank, a wine merchant and Casamigos Tequila brand ambassador. They’ll even be tying the knot in the same location as the newly minted Duchess and Duke of Sussex at Windsor Castle.
The princess and her sister, Beatrice, are known for their often eye-catching fascinators. However, we think that the decision to be more muted on May 19 was the equivalent of not wearing white to the wedding here in the States. Kudos to you, Princess Eugenie, for not taking away from the bride on her big day.
So let’s play with Eugenie’s look a little, shall we? This perfectly proper, Jackie O-esque dress could benefit from a little playfulness. Don’t get us wrong, the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis had impeccable style, but this particular dress is underwhelming for such an event. Still sticking with baby blue, let’s just add a wide boat neck, bow, and cape. Voilà! More fun, but still fit for a princess. We’re to see what Princess Eugenie wears on Oct. 12, especially her headpiece!
