Get the Look: Ivory & Tropical Floral Beauty Bow Tie Flare Dress

Speaking of flowery dresses, there were no shortage of them at the wedding. And we are here for it, especially Carey Mulligan’s romantic number — complete with refreshing color combination and black waist band for contrast. The dress had so much of our attention that we nearly missed the white feather fascinator that rested inconspicuously in the back of her blonde hair. The royal family’s dress code states that women must wear a hat of some sort to formal events, and this just makes the grade.

The dress was by Erdem, and it was nice to see something of the designer’s in the mix at Windsor Castle, since he was a rumored top contender to create Meghan Markle’s wedding gown. Just as exciting was seeing Carey and her husband Marcus Mumford in public together. They’re a couple that we love, who lay low by Hollywood standards, and now have two children together.

We went gaga over H&M’s collab with Erdem, and adore his dreamy frocks. However, we decided to turn Carey’s look on its head a bit. Check out this tropical twist. It’s still totally light and flowery, with vintage vibes, and it boasts a pussy bow and black contrasting details. You’re ready for a backyard BBQ or to jet set to that summer vacay, prince in tow or nah.
