Get the Look: Ribbed Midi Dress

Sabrina Dhowre’s all-Gucci get-up is giving us major preppy-exclusive-country-club vibes, and we’re royally digging it. Avengers: Infinity War star Idris Elba, her fiancé, kicked into Heimdall-mode and felt the need to protect her against a bunch of online haters. It seems that many people didn’t think that her look was formal enough for the occasion.

You may agree, but not everything has to be bows and sequins and pink and pearly. It’s not a competition. When it comes to fashion, many don’t realize that it’s really all about personal style, not what we’re told we should be wearing. So let’s give the former Miss Vancouver points for doing her own thing. Also, a quick scan of her Instagram account has us laughing. One photo is of the model eating a pizza from a pool, and captioned: “Here’s my sexy pool pic 😅.” WE GET YOU, SABRINA.

So, are you more of a no-frills type of dresser? Because we’ve found a look that’s perfectly unfussy. The stripes around the waist are reminiscent of Gucci’s signature green and red stripe, without getting dinged for knocking them off. We also love this entire styling, and recommend a straw hat and strappy sandals. Haters gonna hate.
