10 comedians who deserve a Netflix special ASAP
Hampton Yount
Hampton Yount is an American stand up comic who resides in Los Angeles. His comedy is a whirlwind of fast-paced humor, well-crafted jokes, and act-outs. Any comic who’s up after Hampton has to completely reset the energy of the room because it is impossible to match Hampton’s stamina.
Hampton has been on Conan, Comedy Central, and most recently Netflix as Crow on the network’s reboot of the cult classic television show Mystery Science Theatre 3000. You may not recognize him because Crow is a robot and Hampton plays his voice, and if you didn’t know that then you’re not cool. The reboot of MST3K received a rare 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, making the relaunch a giant success. The cast toured sold-out theaters all last summer and season two is soon to drop.
Hilariously, Hampton isn’t the most chill person, but he’s worked on almost all the hippest television shows. Hampton has written for Ridiculousness, The Eric Andre Show, and he worked on Odd Future’s television show Loiter Squad, and Upload with Shaquille O’Neal. Hampton performs all over the country, but most often he can be found on the stages of Los Angeles. He also has a hilarious yet inspiring podcast about mental health called Suicide Buddies which he co-hosts with Dave Ross. Until he gets his own Netflix special, we suggest getting Hampton’s latest album Bearable.
