Is Grand Admiral Thrawn a possible villain for the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie?

Audition for the role you want. If that’s Thrawn in a standalone Obi-Wan Kenobi movie — then paint yourself blue.

Thrawn is a very famous Star Wars villain within the fan community. The blue general is one that takes on our favorite Jedi and when it was announced that there would be an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie (or at least the idea of one), fans began to wonder who Obi-Wan would take on.

In a self-taped audition, British actor Adam Templar decided to take his audition to the next level. Painting himself blue and wearing the quintessential red contacts, Adam brought his best take to Thrawn and posted the video online.

Which if you know anything about Star Wars, means he lost whatever chance he had since he posted it online. Much like all Disney properties, the world of Star Wars does not take kindly to spoilers being released.

In the tape, Thrawn is reporting to Darth Vader and is referring to a Jedi.

The idea is that it would be Obi-Wan he was referring to since the stand-alone film would have to take place before the events of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. (Because don’t forget, Obi-Wan Kenobi vanishes into his Jedi death by the end of the film.)

This, again, is all rumors. To be quite honest, we all think we’re getting a standalone film but nothing is set in stone.

We just know that Ewan McGregor is ready for it and so is the rest of the world. Bring him back into our lives as the Jedi master we all know and love!
