Deadpool wants to thank you for being a friend in this hilariously golden video

Did you see Deadpool 2 in the last week? Well, Ryan Reynolds is here to thank you.

Deadpool 2 is a pretty incredible movie, which isn’t that surprising since one introduced us into the unapologetic world of Wade Wilson. The sequel, while they claim is a “family film,” still gives us the Wade we came to love and is as thrilling and action-packed as the first.

So how did Deadpool and the crew decide to thank the audiences who came out to see the movie? By making a Golden Girls-themed video for everyone. If you don’t know, Wade Wilson loves Bea Arthur more than anyone in the world (sometimes even more than Vanessa), so it is perfect to have the Golden Girls theme as their thank you note.

Honestly, the marketing for the Deadpool franchise is part of the reason why we love these movies. They’re absolutely insane and they tend to point out the problems with superhero movies in general. The first wave of marketing targeted the idea that women would only come to a romantic movie and used it to help get people interested in Deadpool.

This time around, it is stuff like this lovely Golden Girls-themed tribute to the fans (but mainly Bea Arthur). And it wouldn’t be Wade Wilson if there wasn’t some weird joke or insult to the audience. That’s why we all go, right? Wade’s commentary on the fact that we’re watching a movie is half of the fun!

You can see Deadpool 2 in theaters now. Maybe don’t take your kids to this “family” movie but definitely see it. It is the Wade we know and love with a bit of Cable mixed in. So, what are you waiting for?
