25 shows to watch if you like Riverdale

Fargo
Featuring characters of the idiosyncratic and off-the-wall variety, the TV adaptation of the Cohen brothers movie honors its film predecessor in a fun and authentic way. Also set in a small town with lots of secrets, Riverdale is sort of like Fargo-lite when it comes to taking itself so seriously.
The premise: An anthology black-comedy crime drama, Fargo tells the story of a dangerous mobster’s stop over in a frozen Minnesota town.
The mobster in question, played by Billy Bob Thornton, suffers a car accident and meets mild-mannered insurance salesman Lester Nygaard, played by Martin Freeman ,in the emergency room. Thornton’s Lorne Malvo convinces Lester to participate in his mayhem with him, and a series of crimes and murders ensue.
Why you’ll like it: It’s got a magical realism that mixes the unorthodox with the mundane in a way that only the Cohen brothers could pull off. They serve as executive producers, and it really pays off. The show won the Emmy for Outstanding Miniseries, Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Casting, along with 15 other nominations. It’s good, folks.
Where to find it: Seasons 1 and 2 are available on Hulu and both are equally fun and weird. Season 3, a more lackluster installment to the anthology, is available for purchase on Amazon.
