25 shows to watch if you like Riverdale

Big Little Lies
Based on the best selling novel of the same name, Big Little Lies concerns itself with a murder that doesn’t resolve until the final episode, just like season 1 of Riverdale.
The premise: On it’s surface, the HBO dramedy seems like it’s about a handful of competitive women, bickering about who makes for a better mother and woman. As we get deeper into the series, we realize these women have a lot of dark secrets about which they bond in the end.
Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz and Laura Dern make up the Monterey, California clique. The pastel cinematography and cheeky satire of the upper class environment balances the chilling murder that drives the series.
Why you’ll like it: There really isn’t much to not like about it. Aside from its star-studded cast, it’s got strong female friendships, intrigue, a little bit of comedy thrown in, and Adam Scott and Alexander Skarsgard doing their jerky best.
Where to find it: As an HBO original, you can watch the nail-biting first season on HBOGo. You have to watch until the very last few minutes of the very last episode to get to the bottom of the overarching mystery.
