Ah, spring. The new season brings sunny skies, flowers in bloom, and most importantly, a slew of television cancellations and renewals…just not these shows.
Every year, fans wait impatiently to find out whether their favorite TV shows will make the cut or not. This year was particularly brutal.
Shows like Great News, Shades of Blue, Marvel’s Inhumans, Quantico, Scorpion, The X-Files and The Last Man on Earth were just some of the shows that got the axe this season. Most shockingly, Fox’s fan favorite Brooklyn Nine-Nine got cancelled and caused an uproar on the internet. Fans went crazy, and all the attention it got led to the show being picked up by NBC for another season.
Unfortunately, some shows that deserve to be cancelled get to stay on the air for years and years. Who needs another singing competition or boring police procedural? Apparently, a lot of people, because they keep getting renewed, while beloved, unique shows get the boot.
Here are some shows that definitely need to get the axe sooner rather than later. Don’t hate us if any of your faves are on the list; we can’t help it if you have bad taste! (Kidding!)
