If you’ve been waiting impatiently to get past the first chapter of Year 3 in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, the latest update will make you smile.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has been updated. It was a quiet update, but one that you’ll love, especially if you were stuck at the first chapter of the Year 3 story. More of the story has been added and it’s possible that you can now get to the end. Of course, once that happens, you’ll likely find yourself stuck at Year 4 until another update is made.
Game Rant confirms that up to chapter 4 of Year 3 has been added in the latest Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery update. The writer doesn’t know if more of the story has been added in, suggesting they’ve not got past that point themselves. Neither have I yet, so I can’t tell you that either at the moment.

There are no patch notes on the update, which does suggest that some of the bugs and inconsistencies in earlier stories haven’t been updated yet. The only way you’d find out is if you started the game again with a new character. That could certainly be some fun while you wait.

More updates will come in the future. The idea is to get through all seven years at Hogwarts by the end, and Jam City is currently planning on adding romance in at some point. Think of the waits like the breaks between the movies. They will all come flying at you soon.
