Jacqueline’s ending shouldn’t be a perfect, fairytale ending

At the beginning of the series, Jacqueline Voorhees had a seemingly (im)perfect life. The upper-class Manhattan socialite lived in a beautiful townhouse with her son, step-daughter, and her wealthy husband. Of course, Jacqueline is just another sad, lonely trophy wife who will do anything to keep her husband happy, or at least to keep his money.

As the show progressed, we got to see a new side of Jacqueline. She left her husband, and got practically nothing in the divorce. By her standards, $12 million is peanuts. Still, it made her stronger. She explored dating life, and even fall in love with a man for his personality over his money. She even tried to flip the script and be a sugar mama with a hot, young lover. But that didn’t work out either.

The best thing about Jacqueline’s storyline is how she learned to live on her own and take charge of her independence. She explored her Native American roots. She got closer to Kimmy and Titus. Then at the end of last season, she realized what she wanted to do with her life: be a talent agent. Using her connections and bossing people around to get money is the perfect job for her. Best of all, she makes Titus her first client.

That’s exactly why we think Jacqueline needs a happy ending, but one that has nothing to do with her romantic life. We want to see her grow her business as an agent; if anybody can turn one client into an entire talent agency, it would be Jacqueline. She needs to keep finding her independence and find her own success. That would be the sweetest ending possible for her.
