A movie to end the series

It’s always sad to see a beloved show end, but after four seasons, it’s best if the show ends on its own terms instead of getting progressively worse over the years.

After it was announced that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt would be ending after its upcoming fourth season, fans were obviously upset. But, according to Deadline, producers Universal Television are in talks to make a movie to bring the series to an end. The movie would be written by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, the series’ co-creators. Unfortunately, Netflix has yet to comment on this. We hope it’s true.

A movie would be the perfect way to tie up any loose ends and ensure everyone’s story ends the way they should. Episodes are only 30 minutes long, and even with a full season, it could be hard to fit in everything they want to do before the big finale. With a movie, they could use the season as the building blocks that lead to the movie’s big climax.

Look at it this way: if we’re going to get a Kimmy and Dong reunion, a musical episode, a Mole Women adventure, a Lillian crime spree, a just end for the Reverend, and a happy ending for all the characters (like we’re praying for ), then a full season and a movie is the way to go.
