If you ever wondered if two Harry Potters could ever get alone, Daniel Radcliffe and Jamie Parker certainly do. In the most British way possible.

It turns out Daniel Radcliffe and Jamie Parker are friends of sorts. They have the most British of friendships ever, currently outdoing each other through good will. When each one has a stage production opening or some other achievement, they’ll send bunches of flowers to the dressing rooms. Each time they try to outdo the other’s efforts from the time before.

Yes, that really is a British friendship.

More from Harry Potter

Despite the friendship, Radcliffe has not seen Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and he likely never will, unless there’s a private screening. It turns out the former Boy Wizard doesn’t want the pressure of sitting in a theater with thousands of Potterheads and that’s completely understandable.

Even Parker, who plays adult Harry Potter in the stage production, understands. While on The Tonight Show recently, Parker admitted that he would accept that Radcliffe wouldn’t want to be in such a confined space for five hours. This isn’t about not liking the continuation play, which some people refuse to accept as canon, but just about him wanting some privacy and comfort when sitting down for a two-act, five-hour play.

While there are some people who attend and haven’t seen the original Harry Potter movies or read the books, the majority of theater-goers are Potterheads. They go for the love of the books and movies from the past and want to delve back into the world of Harry. It’s likely that they’d instantly recognize the Boy Who Lived in the audience.
