John Mulaney makes everything better, even Avengers: Infinity War

Ever watch Avengers: Infinity War and think to yourself that these characters relate to John Mulaney jokes? No? Well, someone on Tumblr did!

When a Tumblr user saw Avengers: Infinity War, their first thought was “I can make each Avenger into a John Mulaney joke” and they did! While the jokes are pretty spot on, there were a few choice ones that really stuck out.

JillianLeedy on Tumblr made sure to get a lot of choice Mulaney jokes in the post but there were a few that they left out. Some of the highlights feature Tony’s (which is the Mulaney joke “I quit drinking because I used to drink too much and I would blackout and I would ‘ruin parties’”) and Peter’s (the joke being “I have had a very long day. I am very small and I have no money. So you can imagine the kind of stress that I am under”).

My personal choice would be to make the Hulk fighting Thanos with the John Mulaney joke about the homeless man who thought “I’mma push him” about him.

While the user included a Mulaney joke about Bucky Barnes, I personally think there is a better one that can encapsulate his friendship with Steve Rogers.

There is a Mulaney joke about Bill Clinton which has the phrase “Bill Clinton never forgets a b*tch.” While that wouldn’t necessarily apply to Bucky, it would apply to Steve Rogers thinking about Bucky Barnes’s lady friends from back in the 1940’s. (Remember that whole scene about Dot and their money from Canarsie?)

Overall, the post reminds us that everything can be related back to a John Mulaney joke. Or rather that we just love his work so much that we can find ways to connect back.
