Summer is upon us, but it’s not too late to remember the teachers. They definitely deserve a little recognition. Here are 25 of the most memorable TV teachers.

The end of the school year is drawing near, and for those of us not in school or without children, this time of the year doesn’t mark much change. But for the rest of us, the end of the classes signals a time to reflect on all the hard work teachers have put in over the last nine months. Here’s a list of 25 of the most memorable TV teachers.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a wealth of shows that are solely about teachers. Perhaps it reflects a collective underappreciation for this profession, or maybe it’s just really hard to tell their stories because teachers are just a sacred part of our lives, past and present.

If you know or love a teacher, make sure to hug them the next time you see them, because they are most likely at their wits’ end. Their jobs are so hard and exhausting that a list of 25 teachers doesn’t make a dent in all the ways we should be honoring them.
