Michelle Wolf

Of course, we couldn’t forget the woman on everyone’s mouth this week. After the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where she completely decimated the Trump Administration with her roast, she is the hottest comedian in the media right now. Not only did she not shy away from talking about the real issues in Washington, but she did it to their face.

Her set at the WHCD set conservatives off in a war against her. They raged, calling her a bully and saying she was inappropriate. But Wolf did exactly what she was supposed to do, and she didn’t lie, and she didn’t say anything out of malice. Some people just couldn’t handle the truth, it seems!

The attention she’s getting from that one appearance is enough buzz to give her a late-night show right now. People either love her or hate her. Those haters would definitely tune in just to hate-watch and complain later on Twitter. Boom, instant ratings!

Before coming to international attention thanks to her White House roast, Wolf worked on Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. She also landed her own HBO comedy special, Michelle Wolf: Nice Lady, in 2017. Her weekly Netflix show The Break with Michelle Wolf is set to premiere on May 27, but we want more!

She has the comedy chops, clearly, she has late-night experience, and her humor is topical. Much like the men of late night, especially her previous collaborators Seth Meyers and Trevor Noah, Wolf can tackle the topic of politics without shying away from what needs to be said.

People may not like what she has to say. A lot of them probably hate it even more because it’s coming from a woman. But guess what?

The future is female, and that future includes fresh late-night television.
