May the fourth be with you. Today is “Star Wars Day,” the perfect opportunity to celebrate one of our favorite franchises of all time. In honor of the holiday, we recollect our 20 most beloved moments from the saga.

May the fourth be with you! For the date alone, Star Wars fans have coined today “Star Wars Day.” And in honor of the holiday, we’d like to reminisce on some of our favorite moments from the films. Given the number of them, it won’t be easy to narrow down our favorite scenes. After all, we can probably list 20 moments from the first movie alone.

The first Star Wars film premiered in 1977, and that the movies are still such a massive success today is a testament to how brilliant they are. From the impressive cast of characters to the epic battle sequences, there’s no shortage of reasons to love these films. It’s clear that Lucasfilm has created a universe that will stay with fans for a very, very long time.

And in honor of this universe, here are our most memorable moments from the Star Wars saga.
