Harry Potter movie scrapbook shows two covers depending on location

Harry Potter: Diagon Alley: A Movie Scrapbook is available for pre-order. There are two different covers available, but which will you choose?
If you thought companies were done developing books and film merchandise for the wizarding world, you’re wrong. The latest merchandise is a movie scrapbook called “Harry Potter: Diagon Alley.” While not available yet, you can pre-order it so you’re ready for July 2018 when it’s released. However, that’s a question you need to answer: which cover will you get?
Opening in the wall
The version on the U.S. Barnes and Noble offers a cover that features an opening in the wall, as if you’re traveling from your muggle world into the set. Dotted around the opening are various connections to the movie series, including a clipping of Harry Potter in the newspaper and Ollivander’s shop sign that was one of Harry’s first stops in Diagon Alley the first time. There’s also the Leaky Cauldron sign, which is the watering hole for all witches, wizards, and other magical creatures.

On Bloomsbury’s site, you can see the UK version of the cover. While the brick wall opens up, it’s not just to darkness that the U.S. version shows. With this cover, you’ll see Hagrid and Harry walking into Diagon Alley with the vibrancy and awe that Harry felt the first time he walked into the wizarding world. Various shop signs hang from over their doors and there’s even Hedwig looking at you from her lofty perch on top of one of the signs.

“Harry Potter: Diagon Alley: A Movie Scrapbook” features a tour of Diagon Alley. You’ll delve into Ollivander’s, take a sneak at Gringotts, and even get to step into the Leaky Cauldron for your own butterbeer. If it’s anything like the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie scrapbook from Loot Crate’s official Harry Potter crate, there will be sections that pull out and lift open, giving you a more immersive look into the wizarding world.
