The newest Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer came out this morning and it’s making us wish we could play some outlaws right now!
Red Dead Redemption was one of my favorite Rockstar games back in the day. Of course, Grand Theft Auto holds a special place in my heart, but the Wild West story of the gritty John Marston was interesting and exciting.
So, when a sequel to the original gun slinging game, I became excited. Rockstar Games released a new trailer this morning to get us all ready for Red Dead Redemption 2.
The epic trailer starts off with the year 1899, before the events of the first game, saying that most of the Wild West has already changed. Modern times are making outlaws obsolete. But the main character, Arthur Morgan and his crew, the Van der Linde gang, are still in the wild west.

An epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age.
Coming October 26, 2018 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.https://t.co/hakhYU4Ivz pic.twitter.com/WJc9HWkLyW
While Morgan is the main character, we see some familiar faces in the new trailer, John Marston and Bonnie MacFarlane. Bonnie MacFarlane seems to have had quite the upgrade and looks pretty badass.
Hopefully, they will have a few missions where Bonnie is playable. That in itself would make this game perfect! John Marston looks a bit warn — but it’s good to see him again, considering he died at the end of the first Red Dead Redemption.
There is a scene in the trailer that has me wondering something. In the first game, John Marston dies and so does his wife Abagail, but they leave behind a son named Jack. Is that who is seen walking away from two graves? If so, that would be an interesting tie-in from the original game that would be cool.
Everyone on Twitter is beyond excited for this release and can’t hold it back. We have seen fans reacting with everything from “shut up and take my money” to my personal favorite response that included a GIF of Dwight Schrute.
