Following a highly successful weekend for Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige shared a letter thanking fans for all their support so far.

Yes, there are lots of people who work to make the movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe possible, but there’s another group of people just as important: the fans!

After Avengers: Infinity War scored a massive opening weekend win for the franchise (it actually had the best opening weekend domestically), Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had to thank the fans for making it all possible.

He shared a letter to on Twitter (in the style of the Russo brothers, the directors of the film) to show his appreciation to “the greatest fans.”

Feige started the letter: “The past ten years have been an unforgettable ride and we couldn’t have done it without the entire team at Marvel Studios, our incredible talent in front and behind the camera, the visionary comic book creators, but most importantly you.”

He continued, saying:

"Thank you for embracing these characters and stories since we kicked off the MCU ten years ago. This past weekend was a result beyond our wildest dreams. On behalf of everyone here at Marvel Studios, we thank you for being the best fans in the universe and making Avengers: Infinity War the biggest opening weekend of all time."

Adorned around his letter were some Marvel-related trinkets that we wouldn’t mind having in our personal collection as well. Just like the Russo brothers’ letter, he has an Infinity Gauntlet glowing in the corner, which is already giving us bad memories of Infinity War. And in the top right corner, he’s got a name tag from the “Tivan Collection,” otherwise known as the Collector’s Museum. Maybe that’s where he got that cool Avengers hat from.

Either way, Feige is right to say that the fans have shown nothing but the utmost support for the entire movie franchise. Without the overwhelming support fans showed at the very beginning with Iron Man, who knows what the superhero genre would be like today?

The MCU is having a great weekend for sure, with Avengers: Infinity War now in theaters and Black Panther once again in the top five movies this weekend.
