Kevin Feige, the man behind Marvel, has made some interesting comments about the MCU. Primarily with the details of Infinity War and to 2025 and beyond.
Warning! Major spoilers ahead for Avengers: Infinity War. Read at your own risk, and remember, Thanos demands your silence.
When it comes to Marvel, it would be nothing without Kevin Feige. While he is the man behind one of our favorite series, he may not be our favorite person right now. Mainly because Avengers: Infinity War meant the end to a lot of things we’ve come to love — specifically characters.
In a recent interview, Feige confirmed that any character who died in Infinity War would, in fact, remain dead. The problem? We don’t know who really “died” and who just became a victim of the rapture.
When Thanos snapped his fingers, half the universe vanished, including some of our favorite superheroes. So does his statement that the dead remain dead include those? If so, how are you going to pitch a second Spider-Man movie with no Peter Parker?
While there are many versions of each hero, you’re telling me that the last thing Bucky Barnes said was “Steve?” as he died? Great, I’m crying again.
The movie was hard for all of us fans, and now with Feige talking about 2024 and 2025 movies, we have to wonder what the gameplan is. Are they going to continue to break our hearts? Or are the results of Infinity War just going to force lesser-known Marvel characters into our lives?
We’ll have to wait and see exactly what Feige has in store for us but let’s be honest: We’re going to watch, cry and complain about it all. It is what we do as fans, and it is why most of us have subjected our emotions to multiple viewings of Infinity War.
