On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Mark Ruffalo revealed what really happened on the day his phone went rogue and accidentally streamed 20 minutes of Thor: Ragnarok at the premiere.
It’s unanimous from the cast of the Avengers: If Tom Holland is the first worst person at keeping all of the movies’ secrets, Mark Ruffalo is definitely a close second.
On Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night, Ruffalo was outed by a jury of his peers as the least trustworthy among the group. Ruffalo tried to play it cool as all eyes were on him, but castmate Tom Hiddleston immediately called him out, reminding him of that terrible time at the Thor: Ragnarok premiere.
That terrible time was back in October when Mark Ruffalo accidentally live-streamed up to 20 minutes of Thor: Ragnarok on Instagram Live. In his defense, he only streamed the audio because the phone was kept in his pocket.
As fans on Instagram flipped out, Ruffalo remained pretty calm, unaware of the calamity going down on the platform.
“First, my phone was just blowing up, like I was getting these texts,” he told Kimmel on the show. “And I was like, ‘Oh, I hope my mom’s okay.'” But Ruffalo joked that he couldn’t check his phone, that’d be rude — especially during his own movie.
He continued: “Then, someone from Disney came up, a woman, and she poked me. And she said ‘Turn off your phone!”
He was confused by the woman since he thought his phone was clearly off. Then, he reached into his pocket for his phone and saw that he was probably in big trouble.
We hope everything worked out for him in the end. He is the Hulk, after all, and you wouldn’t like the Hulk when he’s angry!
