Will we get to see the Ilvermorny School in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

With the announcement that we’d get to meet Professor Lally Hicks of the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, there is now the question of whether this school will appear in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

One thing the Fantastic Beasts movies have offered is the chance to delve deeper into the world of witchcraft and wizardry. While we’ve known about schools other than Hogwarts from Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling has shared that there are other schools around the world, we’ve never actually been on the grounds. Will this change in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald?

The Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the North American school. With a history that dates back to the 17^th century, the school was mentioned in the first Fantastic Beasts movie. It’s also possible to have yourself sorted into one of the houses on Pottermore. However, we’ve not been on the grounds yet.

Recently, J.K. Rowling introduced us to a new character for the second movie, Professor Lally Hicks. She’s only going to be seen briefly in the second movie, with a deeper story developed in the third, but we do know she’s a professor at Ilvermorny. To see her, does that mean we’ll go onto the grounds of the school or will Lally come to Hogwarts?

There’s a chance that she’ll come to Hogwarts or, at least, to Britain in the second movie. The Fantastic Beasts movies are supposed to be set at different locations and we’ve already been in the States, so it doesn’t seem right that we’ll go back there for the second movie, at least. However, we could visit the school in the third movie, as Lally’s backstory is developed more.
