Now that the first screening of Avengers: Infinity War is over, let’s all work together to not spoil this movie.
It has come to my attention that no one is safe when it comes to Avengers: Infinity War. Despite the entire crew behind the movie begging fans not to spoil anything, people are still on the road to destruction with the joy of Marvel fans.
Now, many are just not checking social media for three days. But if you’re like me, you can’t escape. So much so that I awoke to a DM expressing a multitude of spoilers for no reason other than this person was being rude to me.
So maybe let us say that we shouldn’t talk specifics about this movie for at least two weeks after the opening? Yes, we all love using social media. Also yes, this is arguably the most anticipated film of the year. It hurts fans everywhere if they can’t come on Facebook or Twitter, fearing all these annoying spoilers.
We live in the age of social media and constant attention so yes, information will get out there. But actively going out of your way to ruin a movie for someone is not only rude but shows more about you than the person you’re spoiling.
So… how can you express your excitement over the movie?
To honor the wishes of the cast and the crew, why not express your excitement (or sadness) in GIF form. Maybe post your reaction to the movie with the hashtag #InfinityWarReaction and not say anything specific.
Need to vent your feelings? Maybe record a video of all those #InfinityWarThoughts, save for a few weeks, then share to your heart’s content.
Basically, help others enjoy their Infinity War experience spoiler-free.
