Don’t expect any more stories about Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling claims. This is the last about the Boy Who Lived.

“Harry Potter” is 20 years old in the U.S. and 21 in the UK. It’s a universe that means the world to fans for various reasons. For some, it’s just about the fantasy world, but for others, it’s about the hidden meanings and inspirations the various characters have brought to life. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is just the latest in the series, but don’t expect anymore afterward.

J.K. Rowling has stated that the follow-up stage production is going to be the last about the Boy Who Lived. There won’t be a sequel to the stage production that has “Harry Potter” fans divided over. Rowling says that her story has now finished, at least she thinks she’s told it all.

More from Harry Potter

Is it really?

Of course, Rowling hinted that “Harry Potter” would end with the final book. The point of the flash-forward was to see where the trio were, along with hints of Draco Malfoy in the future. That epilogue was also Rowling’s way of telling the readers she was more interested in moving forward. She wanted to touch on the relationship between father and son, specifically Albus Severus Potter.

However, don’t expect stories about Albus’ children. She knows that moving onto the next generation of Potters would be pushing the story and she doesn’t want to lose track of what the story was originally about.

It’s possibly a good move, especially with Fantastic Beasts in development. This is a five-part series, with the second part coming out later this year. It tells the prequel stories, looking at Newt Scamander and how he fits in with other names and faces from the “Harry Potter” novels, including Dumbledore and Grindelwald. We may even get a Voldemort origin story.
