Ariana Grande finally released her newest song, “No Tears Left to Cry,” after teasing it on Twitter. This following her relative silence after the attack at her Manchester concert.
Ariana Grande is back in the game after teasing a new song she’d drop this week. The song, “No Tears Left to Cry,” is long-overdue since her album Dangerous Woman dropped in 2016.
The song seems to hint at Grande’s feelings since the Manchester attack, since she was reluctant to get back to making music. The concert seriously took a toll on the singer, but she recovered as well as she could in the moment to hold a benefit concert not too long after.
In the song, she sings about the tears she’s no longer able to cry and says: “I’m loving; I’m living; I’m picking it up.” As hard as it may be to recover from a tragedy like that, her song shows that she’s taking the steps to make things a little better each day.
Prior to the release “No Tears Left to Cry,” Grande dropped several tweets to tease the song, getting fans excited for the new music. It started with a tweet of a just one teardrop emoji, followed by another one saying “missed you.” Then came the more cryptid tweets in upside-down writing, probably mirroring the style of her new music video.
Right side up, the tweet reads, “no tears left to cry 4.20.” Following that, she released a few more images to prep fans for what was to come.
There’s no word yet on when a full album for Grande will be released. Although, one keen-eyed fan on Twitter thinks that there’s an Easter egg in her video that could hint at the rest of the album’s tracklistings.
