James Gunn naively turns down Chris Pratt marriage proposal on Instagram

James Gunn shared a behind the scenes photo of himself and Chris Pratt on the Guardians of the Galaxy set, and it totally looks like Pratt’s proposing.
Wedding bells will sadly not be ringing for Chris Pratt and Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn.
Gunn had a bit of fun with his own “caption this” style photo that he shared on Instagram, showing Chris Pratt kneeling down on one knee in front of him. Granted, it’s just a photo of James Gunn doing his job as a director, but we can’t help but go along with the joke that it looks like a failed marriage proposal.
“No, I’m sorry, I cannot marry you,” Gunn joked on the Instagram post. “And I wished you wouldn’t have done this in front of the entire crew.”
Chris Pratt played along with the joke, responding to the photo on Twitter. Despite how sad Pratt might have been to get fake-rejected by Gunn, he let him know he’s taking it all in stride.

Maybe he just isn’t James Gunn’s type. But Pratt should find comfort in knowing that when he’s ready to jump back into the dating game, there are tons of people who are willing to walk down the aisle with him. Just look at how much support there was for him on Twitter.

And for Gunn, there’s still two eligible Chrises available in the MCU if you’re just looking for a Chris to love. Okay, never mind that Hemsworth is married. We’re all just playing along here.

Either way, we hope there are no hard feelings between Pratt and Gunn. We need Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to be a great movie, and we can’t have it compromised by a little office romance drama.
