Rachel McAdams gives birth to her first child, a baby boy
Rachel McAdams gave birth to her first child, a baby boy. We couldn’t be happier for the actress!
McAdams and boyfriend Jamie Linder have been spotted with their infant son for the first time, according to Hollywood Pipeline.
In the photo, McAdams is walking alongside Linder, who is holding their new baby in his arms. This would be the first time either has been photographed with their newborn since McAdams’ pregnancy was exclusively reported by E! News.
Hollywood Pipeline reports the happy parents said how much of a “good sleeper he is” and that their new son is “a good baby.”
The Notebook actress has kept her pregnancy very private, as we only just learned of her expecting in February. McAdams missed the February premiere of her recent movie, Game Night. Per several outlets, she was last spotted at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport on November 27 in a baggy jacket.
It’s no surprise McAdams would keep her new role as a mother private. The Mean Girls star likes to keep most aspects of her life away from the public eye. McAdams, 39, and Dear John writer Linden, 37, began dating in April 2016. The two have kept their relationship as private as possible. They’ve yet to debut their relationship on a red carpet, and photographs of them together are a rare sight.
McAdams has never discussed her own pregnancy. However, she did tell People in 2009 that “having a few [kids] would be great.” She added that she was “looking forward to it someday.”
She shared her mother, who is a nurse, has been a “great inspiration” to her. McAdams shared that she hopes she can “take on those qualities and be as great as her.”
No other details about McAdams and Linder’s child are available. No comment is available from McAdams’ rep at this time.
