Jamie, Tyrion and Cersei Lannister – Game of Thrones

Love them or hate them, this group of sibs is among the most dynamic and complicated. Aside from (or maybe because of) the incest, attempted murder, and aggressively destructive ambition, they’re downright fascinating. Close in age and growing up wealthy and privileged, their childhood was marred by an evil and controlling father and a withholding mother.

It’s little wonder that Jamie, Tyrion and Cersei Lannister turned out to be highly toxic and dysfunctional as grown siblings. Tyrion, because of his small stature, quick wit, and audacity, quickly became an agitator to his twin siblings. Always on the outside of their “special relationship,” he grew to resent them.

I have to admit, I’m totally on Tyrion’s side. It’s hard enough to be the third sibling to a set of twins, but with Jamie and Cersei doing what we all know is gross and wrong on many levels, that’s a whole new dimension of third-wheel syndrome. It seems like it’s mostly Cersei, however, who causes problems. You can tell Jamie and Tyrion have a special bond, despite Cersei’s constant attempts to ruin it.

Even though these three have somewhat of a complex sibling dynamic, they can (mostly) come together over their shared hatred for they tyrant father. Tywin doesn’t seem like the type to “spare the rod” and the three Lannister children must have had to turn to each other for support. Just think what they could accomplish, as adults, if they used their shared feelings of rage and resentment for the good of the Seven Kingdoms. They could rule the whole world.
