Sam and Dean Winchester – Supernatural
It’s not an accident or fluke that Supernatural has been on the air for (almost) 14 seasons. The charm of the Winchester brothers carries the show, and their on-screen chemistry is probably the sole reason fans have gone nuts over it. They’re just downright adorable.
Sam and Dean are affable, charismatic, and don’t take themselves too seriously. They love each other, but they also fight and bicker like you would imagine two brothers would do. As the older brother, Dean feels responsible for his younger sibling, but as adults, this causes friction between the two.
Four years younger than Dean, he’s always had to fight to overcome his identity as “the baby” of the family and pushes back against their destiny as demon hunters. He even leaves for Stanford for a little while to break away from the family business.
Ultimately, it was his obligation to his brother and the pull of the, well, supernatural, that keeps them teamed up. The brothers present as equal parts Americana Kerouac and classic Western, roaming the land as vigilantes against monsters, real and unseen.
On their own, Sam and Dean probably couldn’t survive, and nobody would want to watch that anyway. Together, they are an unstoppable force of magnanimity, charm, and boyish good looks. Truthfully, I would watch these two brothers wrangle turtles if I could watch them do it together.
