Solo: A Star Wars Story has a new TIE Fighter LEGO set (and some other stuff, too)
The LEGO sets for Solo: A Star Wars Story just keep on coming, and today revealed some great new information (and high-quality looks at the sets).
Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out next month. Yes, really. So it’s time to finally talk about the most important thing when it comes to a movie: the tie-in toys.
Okay, it’s not the most important thing, but it’s not unimportant, either. Let’s dive right in.
We know what you’re here for. For all that we like the smaller LEGO sets, it’s hard not to resist the cool vehicles. We’ve already talked about the Millennium Falcon, but what’s a protagonist without an antagonist in their own cool ship?
Here’s that cool ship:

There’s the good stuff. The press release says that this actually comes with Tobias Beckett and Han Solo minifigures — and it looks like the two minifigs with faces here are the two of them, though it’s hard to tell who is who. That same release also notes that the wings for this TIE fighter are “sturdy,” which suggest it could actually be displayed without help.
If you’d prefer slightly smaller, but still cool ships, there are two landspeeders. One belongs to Moloch:

That is some hair for a minifig in the upper left there. There are also some cool features here. Apparently that’s a “rapid shooter” with the green in front, and there are also wheels underneath the craft.
Meanwhile, here’s Han’s landspeeder:

What a very Han Solo color scheme. It’s smaller than Moloch’s both in terms of actual size and pieces, and something interesting appears in the description. “Remove the engine for a much-needed overhaul,” it says, suggesting that something like that might actually appear in the film.
There are also some new Brickheadz. Look how cute Han is!

There’s a Chewbacca as well, but I’ll just put in a request for a Lando Calrissian at some point.
