Laurs Kemp
Laurs Kemp doesn’t follow trend calendars. She doesn’t make whatever the style gods have deemed “in” this season. She designs what she wants. Kemp’s releases new items all throughout the year. She produces small batches because, like Christy Dawn, she uses second-hand materials and mill ends. Laurs Kemp’s designs seem to transcend gender. Her garments are minimalist and modern, using geometric and loose-fitting clothing.
Favorites for Spring ’18
Devaki Raglan in Rice: This top is made from raw silk. It’s a slouchy, long-sleeved, crop top. It’s both elegant and cozy. The Devaki Raglan top can be paired with either jeans for a casual look or with a skirt and heels for a night out. It’s very versatile and will fit nicely into any spring wardrobe.
Arlo Workwear One-piece in Denim: Finally and Over-all! This one-piece is slouchy and comfortable. It’s also backless, so if you feel swallowed by its roominess, I suggest pairing it with a crop top or sports bra.
Etel Double Breasted Top in Rice: Here’s another raw silk item in rice but this one is currently sitting in my shopping cart. Think crop top meets vest. This top is more of a vest than an actual top. It has a deep v neckline which is held together by four wooden buttons. I don’t have time to write any more description because I’m in a rush to complete my purchase.
