Will Owen and Teddy in Grey’s Anatomy find their happily ever after?

Owen couldn’t make things work with either Cristina or Amelia, so will Grey’s Anatomy finally pair him off with the person who has pined for him the most?
First introduced in season 6, Teddy Altman quickly became one of my favorite characters. Despite her history with Owen, he brought her to the hospital to help teach Cristina Yang. Quickly, Teddy proved to be competent, challenging and less problematic than the rest of the doctors. However, the one glaring issue continued to be her feelings for Owen.
Although she left in season 8, Grey’s Anatomy brought her back in season 14. Her brief reappearance combined with Owen and Amelia’s crumbling marriage led to last week’s “Caught Somewhere in Time,” in which Amelia encouraged Owen to pursue his “tumor.” By that, she meant that there was an unresolved issue that very much needed his attention. And by the end of the episode, Owen left.
Per the promo and sneak peek of the episode, it does, in fact, look like Owen and Teddy will see each other again. But will they be happy?
Let’s take a look at the sneak peek first:
They spend some time together, but Teddy points out the obvious first: she lives in Germany, and Owen doesn’t. By the end of the clip, Grey’s Anatomy leaves us wondering as to what Owen will do next.
He may very well choose to move to Germany, and the news will be revealed that Kevin McKidd will no longer be on the show. If Arizona Robbins and April Kepner aren’t doing enough, Owen Hunt is doing even less. We see him occasionally when he pops up to scold someone or get control of the ER. Otherwise, he hasn’t had a full storyline since the beginning of the season when his sister Megan came in. Before that, his last big plot concerned having children with Amelia.
Either way, let’s assume Grey’s Anatomy won’t be making him stay in Seattle just because of Amelia. If they do, they’re undermining the children and tumor storylines.
